Locus Awards 2014: Os vencedores

Já são conhecidos os vencedores dos Prémios Locus 2014, criados em 1971 e atribuídos anualmente por votação dos leitores da revista Locus às obras de ficção científica e fantasia que mais se destacaram no ano anterior. Na edição deste ano, Neil Gaiman foi distinguido em duas categorias de ficção, com The Ocean at the End of the Lane a ser considerado pelos leitores da revista como "Melhor Romance de Fantasia" e com a noveleta The Sleeper and the Spindle, publicada na antologia Rags & Bones, a ser distinguida na respectiva categoria. Abbadon's Gate, o terceiro volume da série Expanse, de James S. A. Corey (pseudónimo da dupla de Daniel Abraham e Ty Franck), foi considerado o "Melhor Romance de Ficção Científica". Locus Awards 2014: Os finalistas

Foi ontem revelada pela Locus Science Fiction Foundation a lista de finalistas aos Locus Awards 2014, os prémios anuais com os quais os leitores da revista Locus distinguem, desde 1971, as obras de ficção científica e de fantasia que mais se destacaram durante o ano anterior. A cerimónia de anúncio e entrega dos prémios terá lugar durante o Locus Award Weekend, de 27 a 29 de Junho na cidade de Seattle, nos Estados Unidos.

A Dance With Dragons ganha Prémio Locus

A Dance With Dragons, o quinto e mais recente livro da série A Song of Ice and Fire, de George R. R. Martin, venceu o Prémio Locus 2012 na categoria "Fantasy Novel". Sem ter lido (ainda) as restantes obras nomeadas, diria que este prémio é mais do que justo, dado não só o livro em si (que é uma excelente leitura), como toda a série na qual se insere.
