Nebula Awards 2013: Os vencedores

Decorreu ontem à noite em San José, na Califórnia, a cerimónia de entrega dos Nebula Awards 2013, atribuídos pela Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America desde 1966 aos trabalhos que mais se distinguiram no campo da fantasia e da ficção científica no ano anterior. E a cerimónia confirmou o grande favoritismo de Ancillary Justice, o romance de estreia de Ann Leckie que foi agraciado na categoria de "Best Novel" e que, até ao momento, já conquistou o British Science Fiction Award e o Arthur C. Clarke Award. Nas restantes categorias literárias, os Nébula distinguiram a ficção de Vylar Kaftan, Aliette de Bodard e Rachel Swirsky (com o conto If You Were a Dinosaur, My Love, já aqui referido); o prémio Andre Norton para fantasia e ficção científica young adult foi entregue a Nalo Hopkinson; e o Ray Bradbury Award for Outstanding Dramatic Presentation distinguiu, sem surpresa, o espantoso Gravity, de Alfonso Cuarón. Quanto a Samuel R. Delany, como aliás já se sabia, recebeu o 2013 Damon Knight Grand Master Award, que reconhece a sua longa e relevante carreira literária na ficção científica.

Desconstruindo os Prémios Nébula

A cidade de San Jose, na Califórnia, acolherá no próximo fim-de-semana o Nebula Award Weekend, evento organizado anualmente pela Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) que terá o seu ponto alto na cerimónia de entrega dos Prémios Nébula. Criados em 1965 e atribuídos pela primeira vez em 1966, os Prémios Nébula foram os primeiros prémios a ser atribuídos a autores de ficção científica pelos seus pares. A lista de nomeados deste ano nas várias categorias pode ser consultada aqui; no blogue da Amazing Stories, R. K. Prémios Nebula 2013: Os finalistas

Foi ontem divulgada a lista das obras finalistas aos Prémios Nebula 2013, um dos mais prestigiados prémios da ficção científica e da fantasia literárias. Atribuídos pela Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America desde 1966, os Nebula distinguem anualmente algumas das melhores obras literárias que foram publicadas no ano anterior, em várias categorias de ficção longa e curta. A entrega dos prémios terá lugar no 49º Annual Nebula Awards Weekend, que decorrerá entre 15 e 18 de Maio em San José, na Califórnia; à entrega dos Nebula juntar-se-á, como é habitual, o Prémio Ray Bradbury para "Outstanding Dramatic Presentation", a distinguir fantasia e ficção científica de carácter audiovisual, o Prémio Andre Norton para "Young Adult Science Fiction and Fantasy" e o Prémio Damon Knight Grand Master, que este ano será atribuído a Samuel R.
